Animated Gif's. - Demo 1
Here is how I created a Swirling banner:
Create a single banner in your graphics package.
- Hint: use 16 Million Color to create the banner and then save it as a 256 color Gif, this will give you the best resolution.
Recipe
- Make a backup of your original gifs.
- Create several gifs with specific changes. For example: rotating at 45 degree angle, slowing swirling images, or slowing pinching middle.
- Run gif Con Set. This tool will allow you to script your animated gif.
- Choose File|Animation Wizard from the menu.
- Choose Yes, for use with a Web Page and to loop indefinitely.
- If you have Photo's choose Photorealistic, for line art or other choose Matched to First Palette
- Choose your delay 100 = 1 second, the best time I've found is around 20 or 1/5 of a second.
- Choose Select
- Double click to add open first frame/gif
- Continue with steps 9 until you have exhausted your frames.
- Choose Cancel to end frame selecting and next and then done.
- then save the file and load it up in Netscape or preview it from within the application.
- That's it!!
