Note: if you submit a request you will receive the information below and more details via email.
Q. "When will you be available? When is your current contract over?"
A. I'm currently entertaining opportunities and can make myself available for interviews early mornings or late afternoon. I'm fully engaged and working, but am willing to consider any good opportunities that may come up.
Q. "Where are you interested in working? Contract? FT?"
A. I'm primarily interested in contract work, but I'm very open to the right fulltime job.
- Contract: I'm interested in working in (ordered by preference): Westchester, Lower CT and NYC. I'm currently not interested in working in NJ.
- Full-Time: I'm only interested in working in: Westchester or Lower CT. I'm currently not interested in working in NJ nor NYC.
Q. "What kind of job are you currently looking for?"
A. The areas of interest to me are: System & Database Design/Development, Desktop Client Development, Architecture and Implementation utilizing ASP, COM/DCOM, Business Objects, Perl, JavaScript and SQL Server/Oracle database backend.I have a lot of generic UNIX admin/programming experience with Solaris, AIX, Perl and Shell scripting.
I have a very good foundation in C++ with MFC and Sockets, am lite in Java, none should be considered as the primary focus of a position but instead bundled with my core competencies.
Q. "What other experience do you feel you have or would like to work with?"
A. I have extensive experience working with NT/2000, IIS, VB, DHTML, CSS, graphics and html layout.Q. "Can we talk about an 'opportunity' I have?"
A. Since my resume has been posted to several websites and is also available from mine, I receive several phone calls and e-mail requesting to spend 10 minutes on the phone discussing opportunities. But I really can't and I try not to have contract discussions at client sites, so please feel free to e-mail any requirements that match the work described above, I will only call if I feel it is a good fit. Please don't write me off if I don't reply in a timely fashion or at all, just keep my name and information and try again when another position comes up.Q. "Are you looking for Contract or Full-time? What would it take for FT? Relocate? Travel?"
A. I'm currently prefer contract work, for me to consider a full-time job it would have to be a hands-on role with the technology discussed above, would have to really be at a high level Architect or Senior Developer salary scale, with a very established organization, convenient commute and would have to have a very convincing base salary, minimum 3 week vacation and full benefits. A maximum of 20-30% acceptable travel applies to both contract and full-time work and I'm currently not willing to relocate.Q. "Are you willing to work W2? Are you Incorporated? Do you have Insurance"
A. I prefer contract work, am fully incorporated in NY, only do Corp-to-Corp and carry GL Insurance.Q. "When are you available for interviewing?"
A. My preferable availability for interviews would be very early morning (7:30-10am) and late (4-8pm) in the afternoons, but I'm flexible. I can make myself available for late night phone tech screenings if needed.Q. "Are you a US Citizen?"
A. Yes and I have all my shots. :)Q. "Is this your site?"
A. Yes, this is my business and personal website. The programming, design, layout and graphics are a collection of over 8 years of web work and experience.:)
